Welcome to the Red Chalet, nestled in the heart of Armação de Pêra. This historical gem, inspired by the opulent Belle Époque era of the South of France, was constructed at the turn of the 20th century.

Originally named Chalet dos Caldas e Vasconcelos, it served as a cherished family summer home for nearly 80 years, exuding a warmth and intimacy that still welcomes guests like old friends.

Now a listed historical building and a prominent landmark along the Armação de Pêra coastline, our careful renovation has preserved many original features: a distinctive wooden floor, antique chandeliers, and a stunning staircase have all been meticulously restored. The architectural design, influenced by Moorish styles with geometric patterns on shutters and ceilings, elegantly reflects the rich cultural heritage of the region.

The terrace, seamlessly integrated into the seawall, creates the sensation of staying directly over the ocean. Despite its central location and modern comforts, this secluded villa offers an evocative retreat, inviting guests to step back into a simpler time, providing an authentic alternative to contemporary hotel experiences.

Blending modern comforts with historical charm, the spacious open kitchen flows into a living and dining area, leading to a large terracotta terrace with stunning seafront views. Sculpted grape vines on the ceilings recall the vineyards that once thrived in front of the villa.

A charming staircase ascends to two ensuite bedrooms and a living room with a terrace, perfect for enjoying the breathtaking views. A secret door leads to a rooftop terrace, historically built to hear townsfolk sing songs dedicated to local fishermen at the church of “A Nossa Senhora dos Navegantes.”

White House
This small guest house in front of the main property reimagines the character of the Red Chalet with a contemporary twist. It features a duplex suite with a living room and terrace downstairs, and an ensuite bedroom upstairs. Additionally, there is a self-contained studio with a bedroom, shower room, and balcony.
The annex showcases white-washed wooden floors and colorful accents throughout, offering a fresh, airy ambiance. It’s an ideal space for younger family members seeking their own retreat.
